NANCY SINATRA & LEE HAZLEWOOD - NANCY & LEE
I have been scared of most insects since about as long as I can remember. They are tiny, they move fast, and i’m not quite sure what their intentions are. For the past 4 days or so there has been a moth in my house (which according to my friend Nico is not a moth but a “spider killer”) that I haven’t been able to get rid of. I tried to make peace at first, turning the lights off in my house and leading it outside with a bright flashlight, but to no avail. Later on we had some close draws, but this little guy is so fast that every time it came to a showdown he would wisk away with such speed and ease that I could almost swear he was smirking and laughing at me like the lead actor in some old bank robbing movie. Anyways, I do alot of work at home, on a given day I’m home about 75% of the time, so i’ve decided to keep him around for whatever reason, maybe because I can’t afford a dog. I named him Lee Hazlewood and for the first time in my life, when I see this insect figure buzzing around my desk, I haven’t jumped out of my chair and scurried for the newspaper. I give the guy a solid look and the both of us go about our day as we would on any other normal day.
